Technology leads, with topics targeting industry frontiers

In the semiconductor industry, predictions regarding the “end of Moore’s Law” emerge every few years. The inability to reduce the gate length of MOSFETs below 10 nm has recently been regarded as an “accepted” limit. However, semiconductor professionals are eager to challenge these limits and consistently achieve breakthroughs through innovation, thereby extending and surpassing Moore’s Law. In this competition, the corporate challenges established by Peifeng Tunan align with academic frontiers, requiring participants to investigate the device physics and simulation modeling techniques of transistors with a gate length of 6 nm. We hope that the young participants will challenge traditional thinking and explore new theories, inventions, and ideas. A total of 25 projects addressed the challenges posed by Peifeng Tunan. Following intense competition, two first prizes and two second prizes were awarded, showcasing the exceptional capabilities and innovative potential of the new generation of chip talent.
