Abstract of the Speech: The rapidly rising cost of technology development at advanced nodes is driving the semiconductor industry to rely more heavily on predictive simulations to shorten the development schedule and save R&D cost. Modern computation techniques allows us to build multi-physics and multi-scale models spanning from sub-nanometer resolution up to a few meters in size, supporting physics-based simulation across feature-, die-, wafer- and chamber-scale. PFTN’s advanced TCAD simulator is evolving into a “virtual fab” aiming at providing predictive simulations of key processing steps in the advanced technology development of our partners.
